- Annettes Textiles
- Annette Beattie was born in 1957 in the Vale of Belvoir, Nottinghamshire. She was taught needlework and dressmaking skills by her mother and grandmother and experimented with her first embroidered picture during secondary school. Her first employment was as a research technician with The Boots Company Limited in Nottingham, during which time she developed a skill for experimentation. In 2014 she separated from her husband and has been embracing all the changes in her life. Her needlework continues to develop but is now accompanied by experimentation with fibres, spinning wool and weaving. Annette feels privileged to live in beautiful mid Wales and is inspired by the surrounding countryside.
